handsewn, 2003
handsewn is a 6-minute video of myself sewing black threads into my hand and pulling them out, ending with a line drawing to the Spanish guitar music of Joaquin Rodrigo.  The music is lively and upbeat and instantly strikes a cord of tension with the video of needle piercing through the skin and pulling the thread.
